After a better showing last week than the one before... we have finally hit midpoint!

It'll be fine, it'll work out, don't even worry about it. Seems like... this week might be a pretty normal one, the odd storm brewing out at sea aside. Hopefully there won't be a blackout!

New additions include:

• A luxurious bed has appeared... on the beach! Right outside the house. Away enough from the ocean, but... there. On the red frame of it, it says Dettlaff & Gregor's Love Nest and the crew WILL remove anyone who isn't them from this furniture. Deal's a deal.

The contestants are led to the beach, for where else would this take place? The sun has long set, the stars sparkling above the darkened waves that shore at a safe distance behind their seats, and the area is lit with a bonfire and strung lantern lights to really give the atmosphere some romance to the air...

Those unmatched will be sat together on one side, single seats facing a podium with two panels to press. On the other side... are seats yet to be filled, far comfier and double wide for a pair. There's also plenty of food and non-alcoholic drinks to have, which seems especially prepared considering the resort is leaning "ingredient household-core" with some fun snacks mixed in, so maybe it's worth chowing down while you can?

Nonetheless! Enjoy your time for a bit, pick out from a closet of a variety of outfits the budget definitely went towards, promise, and settle in! Because once your hostess takes to the stage, smile bright and radiant beneath the moon, it's time for the ceremony to begin.

"Welcome, one and all, to Lover's Cove's first match ceremony! The rules are simple: I'll be calling up those on Team Non-chan one by one, and they'll speak on who they're choosing! You'll both put your hands on this podium here. The goal..."

And she'll lift her hand to a display of tiki torches, which are electric despite their authentic appearance.

"Is to get even one of these to light up, especially since you guys didn't manage to guess a Perfect Match on your first Truth Booth!" A sigh, a flip of her hair. "I guess we can't all be so lucky. They tell us just how many of you picked right, but not who -- so it's on you to figure out which had the right idea, and which ones just had their own taste!

"Otherwise, it's a black out and someone loses a wish." Anna waits a beat, staring at her hopeless losers, then at the camera. "I think that'd be pretty sad, so let's totally crush it instead. Alright! With that out of the way... Let's begin!"

The characters arrive in various vehicles that best suit their worlds, be a limo or a six legged horse, though... it may be a little easier on some than others, given that they're finding themselves before a gorgeous resort surrounded on all sides by sand, sand, sand! And ocean, of course; it's still summertime! It's remote enough that it's essentially isolated from publicly prying eyes, and all that awaits them at first is the gentle call of seabirds and the roll of waves against the beautiful beach. They're able to bring one suitcase with stuff in it, which includes whatever clothing they'd like to bring.

They better have brought a swimsuit. Or one will be provided for them.

Welcome to your home for the next couple of weeks!

As soon as one steps into the resort, cameras will be on you every hour of the day. You might not always be able to see them, but they're there. Always. There. Better get over your camera shyness! You've got plenty of time!

Naturally, there is a little lady far younger than many of the contestants here that's already waiting for their arrival, a familiar face from the interviews, and she's putting her hands on her hips with a wide smile.

"From the Luckless Lady in Love to the Luckiest Lady in Love, I'm Yanami Anna! But you can call me Yana-chan. ❤ Welcome to Lover's Cove! Where you'll be spending lots of time together, and making so many memories your heart'll leave full of 'em!"

Is... that really the name of this place? Or did she just make it up? The production is about as sure as you are, frankly, but they're also-- a little used to the way she just decides things, apparently, because they just let her go with it.

That aside, settle in everyone! Here's a few things to know:

There is only one bedroom, which is the communal sleeping space.

Beds... are not on the menu! Enjoy your hammocks. There's more than enough of them, almost... to... an alarming degree. No pillows or blankets though.

The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever ingredients you want to make things from home, but watch out! Every now and then, when someone opens a cabinet or the fridge, a friend will greet them. Do not harm it. Please leave it be. It will not be there the next time you open it.
